We are grateful to Dr. Shantha Maria, former Dean, Mount Carmel College, who was in Yadgir last week to train the SHG women who will be working in the production unit on Safety and Hygiene Protocols.
Dr Shantha Maria expressed a special sense of satisfaction, as it was she and her team in the Mount Carmel Lab who had formulated VitaPoshan.
She was thrilled to actually see her formulations from the Lab to the Shop Floor!! She also explained to the women very interactively the importance of their work and the transformational impact it would have on their families and community.
Mr Somashekar and Mr Jayaram from KSCST supervised the machine trials and operations and maintenance.
The women workers have shown great enthusiasm and are extremely excited about their new work, mostly because this is the first medium scale food production unit in Yadgir District.
