The School IEC programme has been conducted in 2 Government High Schools in 11 villages. Our field team reports that the children showed great interest in all the themes and gave their full attention to the information in the posters and of course in the the films.
They asked many questions regarding the kind of foods, vegetables and fruits which will give them better health and strength.
They are also able to understand the link between sanitation, safe drinking water, better health and better ability to study and play.
The children were very certain that they would request their parents to change their diets according to what they have learnt.
The teachers and local panchayat members are extremely supportive of the programme, and themselves find it a great learning experience!
Initial feedback from families confirms that the programme has started the process of behaviour change and improvement in family diet within their budget.

A very successful programme conducted in Government High School in Akiur Village, Wadgera Taluk. Both girl and boy students showed lot of interest in the film. The school teachers and staff also appreciated the programme and were very supportive of the two themes which were being emphasized in the IEC phase.
The programme will continue during the months of December 2023 and January 2024.
