Initiatives

The Auro Centre (ACPN) has signed an MOU with Technical Consultancy Services Organization of Karnataka (TECSOK) (a Government of Karnataka Organization). Keeping in focus on inter-sectoral development issues, namely, public nutrition and public health, education, environment and public policy, SAS and TECSOK will conduct awareness and education programmes relating to malnutrition among the community and at education institutions.

Some unique initiatives :

• • In September 2021 ACPN has conducted short Post Graduate programmes of Public Nutrition and Public Health as add-ons to ongoing courses, with JSS College, Mysore
  • ACPN in partnership with INFOSYS foundation will be implementing a unique programme “Awareness and Capacity Building on Health and Nutrition during COVID and Post COVID” for women self-help groups on malnutrition and its prevention in Yelavatti Gram Panchayat, Gadag District
  • ACPN in partnership with Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) and Centre for Sustainable Technology (CST) will be implementing another unique horticulture initiative, “Establishing SHG/FPO enterprises to address malnutrition and provide livelihoods” in Yadgir District, an Aspiration District in Karnataka.
