Marketing training meetings for Women SHGs are being conducted regularly by our BIAF field team.
They are so much more enthused now, as they have actually received free samples of VitaPoshan Baalya for children, produced by their own sister SHG in Yadgir.
The novelty of VitaPoshan for mothers is really very simple. For the first time they have access to extruded nutritious food for children which doesn’t have to be cooked, but can be fed to the children after just mixing with hot milk or water.
There is ample evidence that one of the main reasons why children remain undernourished and are not given complementary food after 6 months is that the mothers who have to leave for agricultural or construction work early in the morning, do not have the time to cook additional food for them. But with VitaPoshan, there’s no such additional work required.

We are happy to announce that the machinery for the production unit at Yadgir has arrived. The KSCST staff is busy setting it up.
We have also conducted our first marketing training programme for SHG women, after which they visited a little tour to see the production unit and the newly arrived machinery.
The SHG women cannot believe that they will be part of a programme that is handling such sophisticated machinery!
Everyone is waiting for the trial production to start.
